alwyshntn.. The eyeguard on the long side is 11 inches long, its too bad the other one didnt match.. He is having a taxidermist preserve the velvet on them to keep them looking fresh. I think they will probably hang in his dads barber shop.

Definitely a bummer but at least he has the opportunity to preserve the rack. Should be a nice conversation piece.

Definitely a bummer, but at least he got the rack.

Back in 98 or 99 I missed a chip shot at a moster 8 pointer as he was trailing some does. About a week and a half later he got smacked by a car and my dad ended up with the rack - which grossed right around 150". Just an absolute giant. Now every time I go to his house I get to look at that rack and think about how it should be hanging on my wall.

To bad the big boy didn't get a chance to outwit the hunter another year! Looks like a great buck. Can't belive the individual hitting such an animal wouldn't have stopped.
