Default good compound bow

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get into bow hunting, I live in Southern Saskatchewan , Canada. Where I hunt everyone hunts rifle and the deer are very pressured during rifle season. I would like to get out early with a bow but... nobody, literally nobody around here bow hunts ( so i can learn nothing from anyone around here), but my main problem is I got no bow. I've looked at new one's and cant justify paying for one right now ( just finished school, nice big loan to pay off). especially can't justify buying a new because I don't even know if i will enjoy hunting with a bow or not ( im sure i will, i love any kind of hunting)
This is getting long winded.. so to cut to the chase I'm wondering if anyone on here as a descent compound bow for sale, maybe you upgraded and got your old one you wanted to sell. Like i said earlier most of my money is goin back to the student loan office so i'm not expecting a top of the line bow with all the bells and whistles, just a descent one to get a taste of bowhunting see how I like it.

Thanks,
Justin

I know of one bow that could probably be sent out to you to try....but there is the draw length issue. Do you have any idea what your draw length might be? Use the method listed below and see if you can determine it. The bow I am thinking of has a fixed draw length position.

1) Lean against a wall, standing as close to the wall as possible with back flat.
2) Extend your arms and fingers out as far as possible
3) Have someone make a pencil mark at the end of both your fingers tips
4) Measure this distance

This is your wingspan. Find this number in the chart below to find its matching Draw Length. (For example, a wingspan of 67" would be a draw length of 26")

Wingspan Draw Length
(inches) (inches)

63 24
64 24 1/2
65 25
66 25 1/2

67-----------------------------------------------26
68 26 1/2
69 27
70 27 1/2
71 28
72 28 1/2
73 29
74 29 1/2
75 30
76 30 1/2
77 31
78 31 1/2

I've got a 94 xi legend magnumb 65-80#. I've offered this to jpf for a reasonable price. sights, overdraw module, rest arrows and a release. is this too much of a draw weight to start with? it was my second bow. it also has a new string on it

I have a PSE Nova, the older model it is 42" axle to axle. I bought it last year to give bow hunting a try. I took 2 deer with it. So this year I went out and bought a new bow & setup.

The Nova has cobra sites, 2 prong rest, peep installed, quiver, sting loop. It is all setup. The draw length is 29" at 60lbs. I'll even through in 3 carbon express terminator hunter arrows with 125gr feild tips. The string will need replaced after this year.
The bow is very reliable and easy to shoot, very forgiving for a new archer. Like I said, I got my first 2 archery deer with it last season. It does have some scrapes and scratchs, but it is a hunting bow so that is to be expected. I'm only asking $100, which is about what the bare bow cost me from ebay last year.

muratus, if your PSE Nova is still for sale, i might be interested. im 16 and looking to buy a bow for this season. sounds like that bow would be perfect for me. if you could give me any more details about it, that would be great.

I have a 2004 Storm F28E1 I am willing to part with. 29" draw, 60 lbs. Bow is in excellent condition, I would rate it an 8 out of 10. Bought a new Bowtech this year and that is all I shoot now. I would take $225 shipped.
