I like them based on blade sharpness and diameter. They are harder than some heads to tune based on their cutting diameter, but the resultant blood trail is worth the effort. I dropped Muzzy's and Innerlocs to go back to good ole Thunderheads last season and I'm glad I did.

I used Thunderhead 125 for lots of years. They accounted for about 25 or so pigs and probably almost as many deer. Never had a bad experience. Last year I switched to carbon arrows and the 100s and still no problems. Got 4 deer last year with them and had pass throughs on all of them. They ran a total of about 120 yards. That's about 30 yards per deer average. The 100s do seem to drop a little more than field tips. About 2-3 inches at 30 yards. I never weighed them, but the claim that they weigh 106 seems valid. They are very accurate.

I shoot Thunderhead 125's too. They fly great, but no matter what, they just have a weird tendency to flya hair low. I mean, it's okay and nothing to get all funny about... I mean, we're talking -what- maybe a 1/2 an inch low at 20 yards and maybe a full inch low at 30? I just compensate for it and don't think twice.

Now my 100gr Magnus Stingers? Whoa.... they fly incredible! They are dead on. 20 yards, 30 yards, whatever... they are right online with my field tips. I leave it be and have stopped trying to figure it all out (it gave me a wicked headache...)

I have used the Thunderhead 100's as well as the Spitfire mechanical 100's. Both worked very well for me both in performance and flight. I prefer the Spitife mecahnicals but would not hesitate to use the Thunderheads. It's a good solid arrowhead with many testimonials on it's performance.
