It would be a great buck for my area and wouldn't last long.If I did pass it though the guy down from me would take it.

Yes, I would shoot him. First day or last day does not matter.

It's funny to read all of the responses to a question like this. I think it all depends on where you hunt and how many wall mounts you already have. If I was out west, I wouldn't even consider him but since I reside in Maryland it makes him more tempting. I already have a couple sixes and eights so he would have to be bigger than what I already have. (The wife is bitching about wall space and $$$ ) It would be a shame to take him if I didn't intend on getting him mounted. If his rack gets bigger then maybe but right now I would have to say I would let him walk until next year. As far as meat goes, I can get as many doe as I want and they really need to be trimmed down around here anyway.

I wouldnt shoot him. I would smile and have a good feeling letting him pass on the last day of a longhunting season even if I didn't shoot anything. WWW.PBASE.COM/MLO3135127

In the area I hunt, I would let him walk. I might not see him again, but he has alot of growing to do. I would rather take a doe than him. Just my .02

I'd be lucky to get any deer in close enough, so if the opportunity is there I'd take him.
