I use about 3 table spoons of vanilla extrac and place it into a small spray bottle. I then add about 2 cups of water and shake, Once at my stand I spray it on branches in my shooting lanes. I have deer smell and lick thebranches allthe time where I sprayed. The does and young buks love the vanilla scent and flavor. This works well in the rut as well.

good luck.

So Artifical Vanilla extrac won't work? I figured they were the same, well close enough at least.

do you put vanilla in that syrup?and have you actually had deer lick branches and stumps with that stuff on there?
Yes , deer love the smell and taste of it . I can't use this syrup for hunting since my state forbids baiting , but I can use it anytime for observing them

Artificial vanilla does work too , but the natural product seems to work better . Vanillin can vary from brand to brand , vanilla extract stays pretty uniform .
