Leather boots and Scent Killer
I posted this in another forum, but since bow hunting requires such close quarters I thought I might get a better perspective here. Do you guys have special "hunting only " boots, or do you wear everyday boot? do you use leather boots, cloth boots, cover scent....etc. I was thinking of wearing my old combat boots and spraying them with scent killer.

dpv, wear leather if you must. I sometimes do just because it's more convienient but if you really want to go the extra mile, rubber sole boots will no doubt leave less scent on the trail. I'd use a good scent eliminator either way. Scent shield is a really good one but it costs a little more....Fletch

TO BE SCENT FREE YOU MUST NOT WEAR ANY FOOT WEAR THAT IS POROUS. REAL RUBBER BOOTS ARE THE ONLY WAY TO GO HERE IS A GOOD ALL WEATHER PAIR LACROSSE 16" INSULATED BOOT STOCK #189010. I LOVE THESE BOOTS

Definetly I think that rubber boots are a must in my gear checklist. But you can buy very comfortable rubber boots today. I got an awesome pair of rockys all rubber boots for about 60$. Ive had them for over 4 years. And wear them all season. I wont bowhunt without rubber boots. I feel its a must.
