Yeah it's still hard to tell if it's a shooter. I'd say wait 3 months and check again. Most likely you'll be in a stand by then and have a better look. If you still don't know, let it walk and I'm sure it'll be a good buck next year.

I think he will go about 110 or so.My pen buck has 10 points and about 18 in . By the looks of thing he is a slow grower and they are the best type. that what my buck is.Some bucks just shot right out there and then pretty much just stop. Well if you get a pic of him here at the end of july ,you'll know what he'll be.

No way, certanly NOT a shooter. He is way behind in antler growth and should have already branched a long while ago. I'd say your looking at a buck that is obviously no older than 2 1/2 and will be lucky to see a small very thin 4x4 frame that won't touch 100" P&Y. Let 'em grow and he'll be a nice one next year! One of the best rewards would be to collect several pix of him and then find his sheds this winter. This way you'll have some grea photo and a set of sheds to go with the mount next year! Good luck and good hunting.

I've been short on time but it's getting better now so I'll have to keep everybody updated. A buddy has one on cam with beer can size bases and I'll try to post a pic of it.
