Are there any studies or statistics that show how deer herds are effected over the winter months? What I mean is if an area has a mild or harsh winter how does this effect the herd population, health and such. I would suspect that a mild winter would help the herd and a harsh winter would hurt the herd but im just curious.

I'm almost sure that somebody has done a study over, I have seen it in some books that I have read over the years, it refers to it as winter die-off, just nature seperating the week from the strong, you might do a net search for that topic, you just might find what your looking for bro....
