congrats on the deer! I wouldn't be he one to say "it's only a spike" because i've had people say that to me when i killed a button buck and i was proud:It was my first buck. So congratulations on the fine trophy!!!!!!!!!!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

way to go chris! now you're really hooked for life. there's something a little more special about your first deer with a bow compared to your first with a rifle. it's nice to see hunters proud of a deer and not pope and young points all the time. keep up the good work.

Congratulations Chris, You will never forget that hunt as long as you live. I just got my first bow buck last year after two years of bowhunting. It was a young 8 pointer. I was never so thrilled in my life.I've gotten alot of deer in my day and bigger ones too with a rifle but there is no comparison. I'll never forget that hunt. It was a huge deal just to be successful on a bowhunt.

Congratulations!! There is nothing better than taking a deer with your bow, and there is no such thing as just a spike! That deer will nourish your body the same way someone else's "trophy" will. In fact, he will be much more tender and should be enjoyed by all. Great job, and good luck in the future!!
