To be honest I like his show, except for the fishing. He is a bit "rough" but that's him. I bet he would be a lot of fun to have around hunting camp, but you would have to learn to stand your ground with him around!! I do wish the camera work was a little better though.

I have seen his shows (actually only about 2 of them before I got pi$$ed off at him and turned off OLN). Bigbulls said it all about Tred Barta. He ispompous, arrogant, andthings he's the greatest thing out there. He is not helping us against the ANTI HUNTERS - that's for sure! [:@]

I like the guy, he dose things his way and dosent care what anyone thinks. If he thinks he is the best hunter in the world then ow well, I think I am the best hunter in the world. Am I, no, but what dose that matter, if I (he) enjoyes the hunt, dosnt that make him a great hunter, the last few shows I have seen he hasent evern shot an animal but he still has fun (a great time). You dont have tomake a kill all the time tobe a great hunter, you just have to enjoy what you do. Just rember what he is hunting with, and how he is doing it, he is on the groundstalking animals with a wooden bow and arrows. He chalenges him self all the time, and ya what he dose some times is stuped but ya know what he has a show and we dont.

I would say best and only hunting show I like to watch on tv.

love his show, my favorite t.v. hunter for sure.

big bulls, i am cool with your opinion all except for how he wounds game and then his son has to find more and so on. i saw that episode. guess it must be nice to have never wounded anything in your entire life. i myself have made shots that didnt hit exactly where planned, but thats real hunting and that is what his show is.

i love the guy and his show but i do question a couple things. he says he is the best world class angler or something but ive never heard of him till his show. i dont like the fact that he trys to shove and cram down your brain his way of doing things on you. he-s not the only one that works hard for game and we all do it the hard way in one way or another and he isint the only one. if your not proficient in killing game with a primitive weapon there should be no feeling of guilt to how you harvest your game. i seen his show where he is hunting geese with the longbow and i have seen enough local geese flying around with arrows still in them to say i would rather use a shotgun. its stupid simple. there is plenty of work in scouting-practicing, and the million other things that make up a hunting season for this guy to make it seem like he-s the hardest working guy in vegas. I HATE GUYS THAT HOVER OVER YOU WHILE TRYING TO BRING IN A FISH YELLING AND SCREAMING TO DONT HORSE HIM OR GET THAT LINE AWAY FROM MY LINE OR THE MOTOR. i know this already and dont need a joker telling me how to bring in a fish. it just ruins the moment. my old fishing buddy was like that and i caught and brought in the same if not more catch on fishing trips. he-s just trying to be TED in a different way. its just schtick and entertainment but i would never fish or hunt with him. i would have to up my blood pressure medication

Huntnmulies, it's not the fact that he wounded the animal as I have wounded two in my life. We all will wound an animal or two if we spend any ammount of time in the woods hunting.

It is, however, the fact that he flung a quiver full of arrows at a dozen different does, over their backs, under their bellies, way left and right, before finally wounding one. He obviously was trying to make a hit on a deer that were way way out of his effective range.

The diference between me, and many other hunters, wounding one and him wounding one is that he did it knowing that he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with that long bow he was using. He couldn't even hit a clump of grass 30 yards away.

Probably not the worst hunter out there but IMHO he is definetly the worst one on TV.

Yeah, he does it his way..... Flinging a quiver full of arrows at about a dozen deer well out of his accurate range before wounding one and then finally had to have his son find a bedded doe for him and still makes a bad shot. He did manage to find the last one.
You saw that episode too? Maybe I am jumping the gun but that episode soured me on him for life. He does have an arrogant attitude and I do not personally agree with many of the beliefs that he promotes regularly.

Just the name "Tred Barta" irks me now.
