I'm in on this hunt to Florida. Bigbuck270 and I are driving my truck down there in a little over two weeks. We've got time to fish for a couple of days. What bait do you suggest we use for catfish. We don't have any catfish here in Maine but I grew up catching them in Ohio.

We use to use worms, crawdads, cut bait and chicken livers. Is there a favorite that you southerners prefer??

about the best thing i've found to use is either a small blue gill or a large one cut in half with a large hook through the back. then just through it out and leave it on the bottom. after a while one'll usually find it.

i turkey and hog hunt here in florida and the bug suit is a god sent. just be sure to have the gloves also. skeeters will find um and eat um up. the therma cell will work if the wind isn't blowing or you aren't moving. depending on what type of hog hunting you're doing, you'll probably be moving. if you have a complete bug suit you can wear short and a tee shirt under it. it works well.
