When you put the sight pin on your target is the sight pin suppose to cover
or blot out the target before firing. Before shooting a bow on a rifle scope you
can still see the target with the cross hairs on it. When I was shooting yesterday
I thought if I can still see the target I do not have the pin positioned correctly.
Do you cover the target with the sight pin or am I wrong?

I personally cover or block the bullseye with my sight pins.
However, you can sight your pins in anyway you want. In other words, if you want to sight it in where the pin is just under, over, or next to the bullseye, you can.

I block the target out also, but I can still see it. If you shoot with both eyes open you can focus on the target and the pin will turn hazy. When you put the pin on the target you will be able to see through the pin and see the bulls-eye.
