Any treestands that encircle the tree?
I would like to know if anyone knows of a brand of treestand that goes all the way around 360 degrees. I have a great tree but good bucks seem to be behind me although most deer pass in front. I'd like to find or build a stand that I can step around the tree.

I've never seen a tree stand sold that goes all the way around a tree. I shoot about the same amount of deer standing facing the tree as I do out in front of me. You lose very little of your 360 degrese because of the tree. I would be BUSTED very quickly getting up to move around. Think of the tree as your friend. They hide your profile ect.

We like to set up our fixed position stands in groups of 3 or so trees that all form from the same base. We put the stand right in the middle of the triangle.. and use the trees to block out our outline. Also have a few permanent stands built in similar trees w/ a swiveling boat seat in the middle.

There was a stand called the fortress. It is an awesome stand once you get it into the tree. It took a block and tackle to get it up there. I cannot find them anymore, I think they have gone out of business.

i don't know of any production stands like that. if you really want something like that you're going to have to build one. the deer would probably see the movement though. you might try a climber facing the tree instead of away from it. the tree sling may work also.

You could try one of the 2 person ladder stands. It's wide enough to allow you a little movement to shoot around the tree you're in. If that won't work you might have to make a stand. A few weeks back I tried my hand at making a 8 foot tower stand using 4x4 beams, plywood and a shipping skid. It seems like it's going to work out okay as I do have 360 degrees of vision and shooting. I'm only worried about the wood squeeking.
