There is a man out there who has written one of the best books on deer hunting that is often overlooked. This book is one you'll want to memorize and share with anyone who has ever even thought of deer hunting. If you are serious about deer hunting, I mean really serious, you need to read "Buck Petersons Complete Guide to Deer Hunting"
I can't put into words how strongly I feel that serious deer hunters need to read this book.

What's it about nodog?
I've got one for you...... Hunting the Hard Way by Howard Hill.... I think every bowhunter needs to read this book... Half of it is technical stuff that many won't like, but the other half is adventures and they are fascinating.....

Here's the dedication that should give you a hint at the wealth of knowledge found with in the pages.
"Deer hunting was introduced and taught to me by two gentlemen of the northern Minnesota woods. It is to these master hunters, my uncle and his late hunting buddy, who have seasoned my life with hunting health and humor, that this irreverent guide book is dedicated."
I've read some of your post. You share the same irreverent humor. It's designed to help the hunter "get along and take care of business", "items of protocol and etiquette; it's a Mr. Manners of the woods".
It'a a must read.
