How many of you take some tools with you when archery hunting?
I take a small set of allen wrenches and a real small crescent wrench and small pair of vice grips and a pruning saw......
its bailed me out a few times. and the saw is a must for me..........
Hunting with a bow brings about a different challenge on every hunt!!!

I take a small "tool box" with me whenever I go hunting. It has various articles in there. Anything from Allen wrenches to extra rubber bands for my broadheads to a small monocular for whatever.
Plano, the company that makes tackle boxes and bows cases, makes the kit that I use. Very handy.

I keep one of those leatherman multi-tools with me anytime I'm in the woods. I also carry a folding saw, lighter, and rope. The set of allen wrenches is a good idea. I'll have a set this weekend.

I used to put a whole bunch of S*** in a small backpack or fanny pack, but this year I've tried to adopt a "minimalist" mentality. I only carry a Browining Buck Knife, binoculars, grunt call, small flashlight, and a small gut-kit which consists of rubber gloves and one of those individually wrapped moist towels.

The only thing I carry into the woods is pruning shears. When we go to West Virginia, I carry a tool box full of tools, parts, etc. The tools and parts aren't for me, I shoot a longbow, but for the other fellas who all shoot compounds.
Several years ago I had to setup three bows that had just come out of the "Pro Shop" before the fellas left on the trip. Maybe it was the change in elevation, NOT, but I had to move the rest and signt pins closer to the riser to get the string "behind" the arrow. I also had to change the height of the sight pins to get them shooting deadon at 20 yards.

The farther you travel from home, the more stuff you need to bring! If traveling internationally, you best have a set of tools with you. The Leatherman-type tools are great. I always have one in my fanny pack. Allen wrenches are a must. A set of Pliers, if it's not on your Leatherman-type tool, etc.
You don't need a whole big tool box, but a small set of tools and some basic items can really make a difference if you are sitting in a bush camp in Namibia with a broken bow!
