Default Cabelas broadheads

Cabelas is selling some fixed blade broadheads in their Archery catalog. They are being sold under the Cabeas name. They are very similar to Rocket Aeroheads, but are a little different. They only cost $20, per 6 heads.

They seem to be cheap enough to take a chance of trying them.

Before I do, has anyone tried these yet??

Thanks, Kev

I have tried there Lazerstrike, which is a rocket sidewinder. I've had good results.

I haven't tried the fixed heads you are talking about, but I do know which ones you speak of.

I'll be waiting on your review of them!!!

btomlin,

I guess I'm going to have to buy these in order to find out how they are. Nobody seems to have tried them.

I'll buy them, shoot them and give a report on them. If they shoot OK out of my bow, these will be the heads I'll take Boar hunting in July.

I tried them since I shoot the rockets.
They had about the same accuracy but they didn't seem as durable.

Stick jucker,
Was it the blades that didn't seem as durable?

Thanks, Kev

mainehunt- I shot and killed two deer last year with the exact broadhead you are speaking of. They fly great and in my opinion are a great value for the price. The blades are the exact same blade that rocket uses. You'll notice in the package that the wrench that they send you to tighten the broadhead with says rocket on it. The only thing that I did not like about them is that in both deer I shot I got a clean pass through but lost a blade on each of the broadheads. The blades just don't seem to lock in very well. Outside of that it is great for the money. Hope that helps you!

If you are referring to the F4s, yes, I have some, and I HATE them. The blades constantly fall out, they have no retention system at all. They are a pain in the butt to assemble, but, they do fly well. I will never own any of them again.

mobowhuntr,
I'm not trying to be picky, but did you mean the F-3's? That is what is in the current Cabelas catalog.
