Cabelas broadheads

Just remember you sometimes get what you pay for.
I have seen these fall apart when shot into foam targets yet alone a rib on a deer, bear, elk, well.... you get the picture.

BearGuy,
I totally agree with getting what you pay for,
However, I also think that there is price fixing by these broadhead makers. Come on, $25-$35 for only 3 broadheads?? I'm guessing they're making HUGE amounts of profit on these. I have bought the Cabelas brand of everything from clothing, boots, (Rocky Boots made my "cabelas boots, and they're awesome!) and fishing gear. It saves me lots of $$ and it has all been great quality. I have also found this to be true with Bass Pro shops name brand. Obviously Cabelas isn't manufacturing their own broadheads or boots. Someone here pointed out that Rocket Aeroheads makes these F3 broadheads for Cabelas. Even the wrench that comes with the Cabelas heads says ROCKET on it. In the ad for the Cabelas heads, it calls the blades, BACON SKINNER blades. Same as Rocket does. I have heard great things about the Rockets, only problem is they're twice the price.
I'm going to give them a try. If they turn out to be junk, I'll only have myself to blame.

I have some I ordered during this past season I'v not used yet. They apear to go together like a Thunderhead & I'v never lost a blade from a Thunderhead before, tho I'm sure it happens.
I took one deer this past fall with a Cabellas mini lazer pro & it died just fine.
I took some ribbing from other bowhunters when they heard I was planing on using them but, you know, the name on the package dont kill deer. The newer F-3's do say Rocket on the wrench & look more durable than the mini lazers. I'll be using them next season for sure. Only have 3 thunderheads left & cant see spending upwards of $35 when I can spend $20.

I just wanted to let anyone still interested in Cabela's F3 broadheads, that I found them on eBay, and won one auction of 3 broadheads for 99 cents to $3.50...with $3.50 for shipping. Since I bid on 4 of their 3 packs, they reduced the shipping to $2 each. Seller's name is loulardus. I would be interested in any other experiences with these...might have been a waste of money, but they look good if they will just fly right. I usually shoot Muzzy 100's or MX3's, and have never broken a blade in the foam block, but they are just too expensive.
