I just bought a Golden Eagle Splitfire XTR. Mossy Oak camo, 60-70 # draw. Single cam.
The shop was running a special for a sportsman's show this weekend. I bought the bow and received a dozen Carbon Force arrows for FREE. And the bow was 20% off. (2004 model) After shooting a 12-14 year old bow, this thing is great.
Anybody else have one?? What can you tell me about it??
Thanks, Kev

I have the 2002 Golden Eagle Splitfire and loved it ,this bow is very forgiving and is very shooter friendly with a very forgiving brace to boot .I also liked the natural grip but found it to be a little big in the palm of my hand ,but I did really like the bow and I'm sure you'll be very pleased with it.

Nubo,
I'm glad you like yours. I love this one so far. I've only shot it about 50 times though. Raining like crazy all day today. Stood on the porch and shot into the yard, run out, grab the arrows, back under the roof again. Anything to shoot!
First time I've had a string loop also. Compared to my old bow, this thing is so smooth! And QUIET. Man, I didn't know what I was missing!

The Splitfire is a great bow ,I loved mine but wanted to move up the ladder .When I went from shooting my Golden Eagle to my BowTech my score's on the 3D range dropped by 20 to 30 point's in the final tallies ,that's alot ,but it also was just that the BowTech wasn't as shooter friendly as the Eagle is .Although I've gotten a lot better shooting my BowTech I still like to pick up the Golden Eagle every now and then .

I haven't even tuned this bow yet, and I'm hitting arrows while shooting groups at 15 yards. Can't wait to get it tuned. Also, have to go back to the shop and they are going to fit it to me. It has a draw length that is too long for me.
It is very forgiving, that's for darn sure.
