I have a Summitt Viper Climber made around year 2000. I've had my eyes on the new Summit Rapid Climb Stirrups since thay came out last year on the new models . If you have experienced climbing with both, the older bunji cord straps and the new stirrips, I would apreciate your answer to the following questions.
Are the stirrups a significant improvement?
Will they work as well on my older model climber with straight tubing as they do on the present model? (The new models have curved tubing to eliminate cabel noise while transporting)

I used them this season, they worked great. They made both the climb and descent easier. I wear a size 14 EEE and once I located the best spot to secure them they worked fine.
