STEALTH CUSTOM 3-D STABILIZER
OK, I just got my new custom made 24" stabilizer today. I contacted Jerry from Stealth Archery about building me one to my specs after reading a report from Matt/PA about his products.
Here is what I have determined after some testing.
1. My original intent was to get a stabilizer that would help me balance out my 3-d rig. Shock/noise absorbsion was not really important to me since this was not for hunting purposes, and the fact that my excel cam ultratec already had so little recoil that I have to look to make sure the arrow is gone when I shoot it anyhow.
2. I did not get as unbiased as Matt/PA by being blindfolded while shooting.(something about my wife not allowing me to shoot in the house with my eyes covered)Anyhow, the stabilizer did exactly what I hoped it would do, and that is balance out my 3-d rig. I can now hold the bow on the spot as good as I have ever been able to.
3. From the first shot, I suspected that the bow was slightly quieter than before. After switching back and forth several times with my favorite 30" stab., I am now sure that the 24" stealth is quieter, and slightly less shock on a bow with no shock to start with.
I am so impressed that I start digging out some of my most violent bows to test with several types of stabilizers.(this was`nt the best move on my part. Up till now my wife thought all those camo bows were the same bow.) I explained to her that all guys have at least 10 bows!In every situation, with every bow, the stealth was quieter, and on the most violent bows there was a huge difference in felt recoil/handshock.
4. The stealth showed slightly better results than my favorite stabilizer brand, and much better than the others I tested. I won`t go into brand names, as all of them are of good quality, but in my limited testing, only one other brand came close to the Stealth in noise/shock reduction.
I did shoot 4 different bow brands, and 5 different stabilizer brands, so I did get a fair comparison as to the quality of this product, IMO.
Last but not least, I want to thank Matt/PA for bringing this product to my attention, and I want to thank Jerry from Stealth Archery for building this stabilizer to my specs and getting it to me in record time.
I will be shooting this stabilizer in bedford, Ind. at the IBO this weekend, I will have to avoid my stabilizer sponser now!

Thanks Big Country.......now YOU are gonna cost ME money!!
I really wasn't expecting any less than what you wrote,
but I'm still glad you liked it as much as you do......pressure's off!

Big Country,
Your probably in Indiana right now (let us know how you do), but I just wanted to say I got the 12" stealth for my Ultratec and really like it.
With all the big dogs out of town this weekend maybe I can win the local shoot.
Good luck in Indiana

I`m not there yet. Won`t be leaving till about 3am. And it does`nt matter if half the guys in your area are in bedford this weekend, if you win a 3-d in Ohio, your doing good. Man, there are a ton of good shooters in the buckeye!

RE: STEALTH CUSTOM 3-D STABILIZER
Well the turnout was better than I thought it would be at New Concord (alot of guys shot Bedford Saturday).
With nothing new except the Stealth stabilizer I shot a 329 out of 350 from the MBR stakes and was leading with just a few left on the course.
The new turkey target cost me a 5 , but other than that things went pretty well for me.
If I could just get up in the 340's I'd be happy.( think I'm gonna have to buy some turkey targets to practice on ! )
