Wal-Mart has Hunters View with a huge platform this year for $39 and it has a big padded seat. Freddie Bear Sports and Sportsmans Guide both have good prices on the net but it cost so much to ship.

Cheap and good? These usually don't go together do they?
I just picked up 2 API Grandstand Baby-Grands on sale at BassPro for $119. They also have Gorilla King Kongs (comparable platform and seat) for $90.

Around here we have some stores called Rural King not sure if you have one by springfield but it is a farm and home store and they have a good selection of ladders and climbers and others at a usually good price. They should have a ad out with a hunting promotion soon and they usually have one or two hot buys in it on stands.

just bought a- my buddy ladder stand from wally mart 98$ it has room for 2 people. im kinda big so i bought it for the extra room. strong built has ladder stands for 59$-69$. if you go to the k-marts and wall marts in january you can talk the managers into dumping them cheap! because they dont want to store them away for next year.

That 12' ladder stand you got from Wal-Mart is the identical one I just got from Farm and Home (similiar to Rual King). I am building a 4' section so the stand will go up to 16'. It is a nice stand. I am also putting some padding on the front rail for shotgun season. I thought about putting some netting to hang on the front bar to cover my lets. But I am not sure if that would block my view??
