While I have not tried the specific stand I have sat in it. Just like all the Summit line I was comfortable and I know it will be just as user freindly stable and quiet. The new "stirrups" should make climbing even easier as well.

I think the production of the X4's is behind schedule due to some tooling delays.
Production should have begun in April 04. I've got the new Copperhead X4 on order and got word from Summit Stands that because of steel shortages/prices and tooling the manufacturing of these stands had not begun on time, as planned.
I'm positive when the stands hit the market, the quality will be to our satisfaction.
I currently have the Viper XLS, the Copperhead XL, the Headhunter Lite and two Trophy Chairs and have not had any problems with any---so far!!
