RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
Good question CBM SC!
Do you use a release or fingers? If release , what type of release? Do you shoot directly off the string or do you use a loop? Are you right or left handed? It sounds like nock pinch , but I cant be sure without watching you draw or getting the answers to the above questions. |
RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
i use a release. it is a winn free flight glove. standard, not caliper. i use a string loop. i am also right handed

RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
Before I get into nock pinch or torque , your not guiding the arrow with your left forefinger while drawing are you?
What kind of rest are you using? Without watching you draw I'm gonna take your word for it and assume you can draw it back with ease. You can try lowering the poundage to see if you still have the problem. What do you have to lose? Your not less of a man if you have to shoot 50#;) Without seeing your actual setup (how your loop is tied , etc.) it's hard for me to determine what the actual problem is. But nine times out of ten that problem is caused by torque or nock pinch. When drawing make sure your drawing hand stays in line with your bow hand. Do me a favor , go to the range as soon as you get a chance and turn your poundage down to 50# and try shooting for awhile. Then report back and let me know if there was a difference. |

i am going 2 post the pics of the rest and loop on my site. should b dun in about 15 min. ill post a link. i think the rest is a tm but am not sure. the prongs face down instead of up. and no i do not guide the arrow with anything. i just let is sit on the rest and all of my fingers are about half open on the grip when i shoot. i also have ben making sure to be perfectly inline when drawing and it still comes off.

5shot... that is the first time I have seen your review on the WB. I couldn't have said it better. I am all for this rest and believe that people shouldn't knock it before they try it. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about the softer bristle bisquit.

RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
Your loop is tied wrong which could be causing your problem. The knots should be opposite each other. With a properly tied loop theres no need for a metal nock set either.

RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
Sorry I haven't been back by !
From the looks in your pictures .......I would say your getting some nock pinch ! I would take the brass nock out and just shoot with the loop and see if things improve any ! It also looks ....from the side view.....that your rest is a little high ! May want to check your nock point too !! The WB is a good rest and may be worth a try.......but I would work out the other problems first and then try one !! Good Luck !! |
RE: whisker biscuit ?'s
actually, i mite just take the string loop off first and get another nock set on the bottom. the string loop is making me have 2 draw farther back than is comfortable. i am having trouble with the trigger spinning b/c of the string loop and it is harder 2 reach compared 2 when i shot off the string
