Stalk, ground blind, tree stand, depends on circumstances such as where, when and what you are hunting to make any technique work for you. Ground blinds are not my first choice but sometimes the right spot does not have a tree or on an in season scouting trip which occur when hunting new areas out of state you do not always have a tree stand to put in a tree. While still hunting, I carry a small stool in my day pack and set up a ground blind when I happen upon a spot that shows promise. If, sign, wind, cover is right, I set up my stool against a tree, my bow holder in the ground in such a position that I can pick up and draw my bow with minimal movement, make myself as comfortable as possible and wait. When hunting on the ground, scent control is even more critical than when hunting up in a tree.

Both. Depends on the situation.

It's not an either/or question for me. I use both methods. I'll sit in a blind and bushwack a deer. If they don't come in, I'll go after them. One of the benefits of a ground blind is the ability to do a stalk if the deer pick a different trail than the one you set up on. If you're in a treestand you're... well, you're up a tree. No way to get down without getting busted.

Perching in a tree is fer the birds. ;)

tree stands can be successful, but you can't beat a double bull blind on the ground.

I have hunted from stands and Double Bull groundblinds in recent years and I definately have had more success from treestands.

i have killed mostly all of my deer with my bow out of a treestand, when i try to stalk them with my bow i never get in range , only a few times did i get the shot off with my bow , now with my gun i *****foot around a little if it is real windy and have killed a bunch last year i killed 6 with my muzzle loader walking the firetrails durring heavy winds ,
