okay after just having purchased an APA ultimate release (APAARCHERY.COM) a friend of mine sent me a Trophy Taker rest (TROPHYTAKER.COM) for my birthday. Although I am new to archery I had decided against any kind of drop away rest because I think keeping things simple is the key to any kind of hunting success. So after recieving this rest my first intention was to sell it or trade it for something else.
However it came with a note that stated I had to put at least five hundred arrows through the thing before I could trade it for a 12 pack of my favorite beer so I know feel compeled to give this rest a shot.
So I have decided to test these two rest against each other in as many aspects as I can including.
Ease of set up
tuning
performance 20 yrds
performance 40 yrds
function
broadhead Vs. field point flight
if you have any ideas for more comparisons please let me know and I will try to give the forum back a no BS evaluation of each rest by spring.

Many I know use the trophy taker for hunting with broadheads.
I have used my fallaway in indoor,3d and hunting for over two years now.
Just shot 300 54X in League with it. Never a failure.
Mike Anderson just took 2nd in Iowa pro indoor shoot with TT fall away.
You must have confidence in your set up. I do in mine and it works well.
