Default Getting Started: The right bow for a beginner

I am just starting to get intreasted in bow hunting. I' ve hunted for about 7 years, and im 14 years old. I was wondering if there are any suggestions for bows to start with at this age. Something between not so great and awsome.

go to a local bow shop, they can help set you up with something that will grow with you. I dunno how big you are or what weight you can handle or how much more you will grow.

Ditto on the local pro shop comment but I would also suggest that you keep the PSE Nova in mind when looking at the different bows. It offers a very solid and affordable package which can be used for just about any North American game animal. Plus it is very adjustable in draw length so it should be able to grow as you grow.

Hi young lad. When my son was your age, he wanted to join me on my archery forays. We bought him a very nice Browning Bushmaster. It was a very nice bow but he outgrew it and now it hangs on a wall. So, I agree you should try to get a bow that can be adjusted to accomodate you as you grow. Good luck!
