They aren't. I personally use G5 montechs and slick trick standards (varies which rig I am using). They are around the 30 dollar range for a 3 pack. The G5's are a one piece design (blades and ferrule are one piece) and extremely tough. I have a few that have been through several deer each. Quick stoning and honing and off to the races they go again. The Slick Tricks with a steep angled design blade setup blow a pretty nice hole out the other side. Both fly dead on equal with my field tips out of a properly tuned bow.

All that being said, you should be fine with those Muzzy's. Muzzy BH's have accounted for thousands of whitetail, elk, hog, moose, caribou, hell pretty much every big game species on the planet.

There are actually 2 broadheads I have been meaning to test myself. Those Muzzy 100gr Phantoms cut on contact full blade design and those Slick Trick Viper Trick that Bronk is using this year. Haven't been able to due to a fall last year breaking my knee and now going through Dante's 7 levels of hell getting it back on track.

Man... Sorry to hear that about your knee, Super. Hopefully that 7 levels of hell will pay off and your knee will be good as new! The 2 reasons I went with Muzzy heads was because everyone who used them said these dudes perform well & fly true and the price of these heads were CHEAP! I bought a 6 pack of 100 grain 3-blade heads for around 25 bucks! I was paying more than that for a 3 pack of other BH brands! Can't go wrong with that!

Aww don't worry about SH54. He's been complaining about that knee for almost 1 1/2 years now! You know how those old guys are?!?!
SH54 - I had my daughter use those Muzzy Phantom 100 gr BHs in her lightweight bow. They shot really well. Unfortunately she hasn't been able to "test" them on game yet. But I'm sure they will be fine. Very similar to the Stinger but IMO a bit stronger.

LOL Bronk, they just did the full knee replacement (what I wanted them to do in the damn first place) so HOPEFULLY I'll be at least healed up enough to get in and out of a couple tree stands. Got the Bows out this afternoon and shot from seated position for a good bit. Had the wife retrieving arrows and shooting a bit too. Shoulder still twinges a bit right at the roll over but over all I think I'll be fine for bow season. Busted 2 nochs so I'd say I'm still in shooting form

I'd say you got a damn good one, if she'll retrieve arrows for you just so you can shoot your bow! haha Take it easy on that knee, Super.
