which is a better bow a 2012 bear encounter or a 2011 bear assault i can get either for the same price both new in box

looking at the specs i think i would choose the assault. 328 IBO, dual spring dampeners, and basically the same brace height and axel to axel. good luck. bear makes a great bow

Massman - don't only go by the bow's specs. If these are the 2 models you are interested in, forget the specs and shoot them both. Then buy the one that feels best to you and you can shoot the best. Remember speed means nothing if you can't put the arrow where you want it to go. An inaccurate fast bow means you're just going to miss your target faster!
