Question broadhead for my wife

I got my wife a new bow (Parker SideKick - nice little bow). She'll be shooting 40#, 27" draw (so ~28" arrows). I was planning on getting her some 3 blade Muzzys (75 gr. maybe 100 gr.). I talked with an archery shop and they said with the lower draw weight that a cut-on-contact blade (G5 Montec or NAP Hellraiser) would be better. What are your thought on: 1) 75 vs 100 grain; 2) Muzzys or c-on-c head; 3) NAP Hellraisers???? Thanks in advance.

75gr Muzzy are a great little head!! I would not hesitate to put them on the end of an arrow. They will work just fine and besides you can get 6 for less then 3 of G5 or Nap.

I am sure that the Muzzy will be jsut fine. I know that Christine uses Muzzy's and cets complete passthroughs.

Having said that, I would also use a COC type of head. I'd give the Slick Trick razor tricks some serious consideration myself. Before the razor tricks came out I set my daughter up with Razor Caps from NAP.

COC head for sure.

Slick Tricks or Steel Force Premium are good, no so expensive choices.

The G5 Montecs are good heads but they have gotten way too expensive.

As far as the weight goes, pick the weight that will give her the best arrow dynamics based on her draw weight, draw length, arrow length and arrow spine.

I would suggest the Slick Trick Razortrick heads or Magnus Stinger. Both great cut on contact BHs.

The Hellrazors are a great choice, we have several women shooting them out of low poundage bows and are getting great performance out of them! They are extremely tough and easy to re sharpen (some of the other blades mentioned may not hold up as well as the HR's) 100 gr heads should work well for her, it will get the arrow weight up too and should help a little with KE. Also as mentioned above the Razorcaps (also from NAP) would be a great choice, I had a complete passthru on a 350# bear out of a 50# recurve using them. Tell the Mrs. good luck!!
