Default double cam hoyt havoc

I am a lefty and I have a friend that is also a lefty that has a double cam hoyt havoc for sale. I don' t know much about double cams but I have heard that they are hard to keep tuned. He has the bow rigged out and ready to go but I have not seen it yet and I don' t know what kind of brand of accessories it has. The bow is about 2 years old .Would anybody know what the price would be on a used bow like this fully rigged out. And are they really hard to tune.

There' s an awful lot of hype about how hard a dually is to tune. Most of it is utter nonsense. I have a Golden Eagle Splitfire 2 and I can tune it in less time than it has taken me to write this. I' ve never owned a single cam bow and since dually' s are generally faster and no problem to tune, I have no desire to. Single cams also get out of tune, and from what I' ve read, are more difficult to tune.

As with any cam it takes a few hundred shots for the string to break in. Once that is accomplished then cam(s) need to be timed and synched correctly and then you should have no further problems.

I owned two Hoyt Havocs with dual cams.....the PFX limbed version and the Intruder limbed version. There was also an XT2000 limbed version as well. All were different prices.....$525 for XT2000, $474 for the PFX model and $390 for the Intruder limbs (local prices only and will vary). For the bare bow I would expect no more than $350 (XT2000), $275 (PFX) or $275 (Intruder) if I were to put it up on Ebay.

Hope this helps.
