RE: Rage Broad heads

I have recently purchased the rage 2 blade broad heads.
1. If they pre open on you it is because you need to rotate the little o-ring that keeps it closed 1/8 to 1/4 turn. The edge of the o ring has been pinched by the blade and it needs a fresh spot on the ring to hold the blade.
2. They do fly like my field points.
3. Needless to say they take a little usage of the brain to understand how they will work for you. So to bash them because they look kind of floppy when messing with them in your hand.

Also the other blades i use is the Tight Point Shuttle T-Lock Broadhead.
This is also a nice solid broadhead and flys very close to field points.

It also takes some brain to see how it is possible that they would not work. Either way, I guessyou have to use your brain.;)

alright alright, this thread didnt BLOW UP like I thought it would. I did try them for the first time and they ARE going to be my go to broad head this year. I just figured since I am stuck in the office for a couple more days until season opens this Saturday that I would post something negative about Rage and have a bunch of people complain about it!! Just trying to rustle some feathers since I CANT WAIT to try them out on some venison this weekend!!!

Istick a small orthodontic rubber band on them for a litte reassurance. I don't know that its necessary, but I've yet to have one open prematurely. And I've yet to have one not fully open on entry.
Although, I now use Rocky Mnt Snypers, because they have thicker blades, sharper cut on contact blades, and are a lot less expensive. I picked up a 3 pack of the 2 blade snypers from Bass Pro for $21.

I kinda like the T-Lock Shuttle heads "Tight Point" as well. Altho they are a small broadhead they fly like my filed points like rage 2 blade does.
I am willing to try Grim reaper heads some time and maybe this 2 blade snypers you speak of brian

The rage 2 blade broadhead makes a huge hole in whatever you shoot with them. Shot a doe in MD this year and i got a 3" entrance and exit wounds when the doe was completely broadside. Cant ask for much more than that.

I love my rage 2 blades, what sold them for me was a local archery shop owner showed me video of his Bison hunt that he used them on and that big Bison was hit, down and dead in about 20 seconds

I will be trying the Rage 2 blades for the first time this season. I am looking forward to putting one of those infamous holes in the first thing that walks by...
