Default NAP Rest Question

I had Trap Door rest for the last several years and never had an issue with it. I dropped off my bow for a pre-season tune and my tech guy thought the rest didn’t sound right even though it worked flawlessly. He said it sounded too long. So he took it off and put on add on a NAP Smartrest. I don’t doubt his decision on it being a good rest plus I trust him and he knows want I like. All I’d like to know is, if you own one or have used one? How do like it?

He’s going to send back my Trap Door to the manufacture to see if they can fix it what ever is making it sound loud. I won’t know until later this week when I’m able to get out and shoot if I like the NAP rest so I’m trying to get a heads up on it. If I do like it and my Trap Door can be fixed, I’ll add it my back up bow. Thanks

Default RE: NAP Rest Question

I'd glue my old rest back together with Elmers Wood Glue before I put anything NAP on my bow...But thats just me.

I think many kids start to think about giving up their naps at about this age. Sleep is really important for kids (it's when they grow!) but most parents struggle to help their little kids get enough sleep. When she does nap does it mess up her bed time routine? I have a three year old and if he naps during the day he won't fall asleep at night until after 9:00!! (So we actually try to keep him from napping during the day).

Have you tried just having her rest even if she won't fall asleep? When my older son started to give up his nap, we'd have him stay in his room for an hour even if he didn't fall asleep. We let him look at books or play with a special box of quiet toys but he had to stay on his bed for the whole time. Even that little break helped him have energy and a good attitude for the rest of the afternoon. (And of course it was a great break for mommy!).
