I have a 2007 Black Ice. It is my first bow and I have been shooting for a little over a year. I was just wondering how much use do you get out of a bow string? When will I need to replace it? I shoot fairly regularly just wanted to know when most people change them.

I would say that if you only do a moderate amount of shooting, every two years. If are out there pounding outa couplehundred arrows a week, strings aren't going to last even a year. Regular waxing of the string, along with regular inspection for fraying, is part of the deal. And, when in doubt, change it. Do all of them - string and cables - at the same time.
I like to replace strings almost immediately, since the factory strings are almost never as good as a quality string like Winner's Choice or Bucknasty strings/cables.

If it is shooting good and isnt frayed or excessively worn...keep shooting it till after this season IMO. Or else replace em immediately in time for season and keep the current ones for a spare. Always good to have a second set of strings incase something goes wrong. Im taking my factory strings as a spare set to SD this fall incase I need to replace them in an emergency.
