RE: looking for a good hunting release
I just bought a Tru-fire Mossy oak buckle release and it works great so far. Price isn't bad either

Obviously from the responses to this thread, Scott makes a good release. I can't comment as I have never used a Scott. I have, on the other hand, used Carter products. I love 'em. You have more than one decision to make, regardless of manufacturer. Do you want to shoot a wrist strap or hand held model? Trigger or back tension? If trigger, index finger, thumb, or pinky trigger? To address whichrelease is the most accurate, that is a TOUGH question!

Scott makes a Great release. I have 3 different models and like them all.
The Trigger on my Carter 2 Shot is simply awesome though. When I'm hunting it's on my wrist anymore

Yeah, they have pretty much covered all the good ones....In my experience Jim Fletcher or Scott, I have shot both and both are really good releases but the scott had the smaller string (I liked it better). I have no experience with Carter but they sound good too....If dan recommends them, they are good....Good Luck
