RE: Epic Stealth or Roscoby Riser Cam
I agree. I also think that with the hat clip I can watch the deer come in, and follow the deer after the shot. With the Roscoby you basically only get the shot.
For the price, it's worth a try. I've got one on order at Cabela's, their customer service is the best, if you don't like it, just return it. |

Cabelas is now saying September 30.
Too late for me. I need some time to test drive before the Oct. 1 opener. Maybe I will get it next year. |

RE: Epic Stealth or Roscoby Riser Cam
I recently bought a camera by Oregon Scientific on ebay it costs with S&H around $90 I actually mounted it to my Benelli SBE and with 31/2 shells and got a pretty good video of a turkey hunt of course the image was blurred during the shot but no more so than the images I've seen on the Roscoby site using a bow.The camera comes with attachments for handle bars ,this is what I used for the shot gun, and for hats. The camera is much smaller than Roscoby and can be used underwater! see the Oregon Scienticfic website for footage only drawback is the controls can be difficult and there is only a 1 hour recording time

RE: Epic Stealth or Roscoby Riser Cam
Finally caught it in stock at Cabelas last Thursday. I ordered it immediately. It was delivered yesterday. I tested it a little bit last night and this morning.
Initial review: 1. it will not work well in low light conditions (in the woods and dawn and dusk and in cloudy/dark weather) and 2. the audio is not very good 3. The packaging was incredibly wasteful and obnoxious - they must be betting on getting shelf space at brick and mortar retailers Posted this test on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtGJ6IDxPPA I will continue to test under different conditions. |
