Can you beat the new martin firecat for the price?
I recently purchased the new martin firecat xt, and its speed weight andlack of noise are unbelieveable! The firecats peak fps is between 335 and 345 (fast!) and it only weighs 3.6 pounds. I was just wanting to know with a price tag of around $550 does anything compare?

I guess I'm already out of the loop. 345 is a huge improvement over the 07 bows![&:]
I have a Martin Bengal. Cost me either 300 or 350 and I shot it against a slayer, pantera, a couple hoyts and few bowtechs and blackdiamons.
I really couldn't find any "extra" in any of the bows except maybe the Liberty or Old Glory (can't remember now.) For 1/2 the price I feel like I got a bow that's just as good. I just don't get to brag about its pedigree. So yeah, Martin can make an incredible bow at an incredible price-point. One of the Fred Bears compounds was making a huge storm back then too. (Another on of those..."No way!?!? XXXXXX made this bow!?!? For HOW MUCH!?!?.) Assuming and hoping they've kept a good thing going they may compare.

I'm planning on using my tax rebate for a new bow. I really want to look at the new Firecat, the Bear Truth 2 seems like a good deal as well. I might look at Bowtech or Matthews, I just don't like the price. The Firecat sounds like its wicked fast and still has a 7" BH!
