I checked the BowTechs out at the Harrisburg show. I really didn' t like the Pat Dually. Like most I thought the valley was way short. I didn' t care for what felt like next to no let-off. I guess I' m just use to the 80% on my Mathews. My favorite BT was the Extreme VFT. This is the one I' m leaning towards. I drew a 70# BT, not sure what model it was, but I can tell you it wasn' t like any other 70# I' ve drawn. It felt more like 75-80#. I can only imagine how my carbons would come out of that animal.

Jerry, I wasn' t going to admit this. Last Sunday they had a money shot. A cardboard deer target is put on a 3/16" steel deer silhouette, with the heart cut out. There' s a corresponding hole in the steel, about 3" in diameter. The target was at 27 yds. I was drawn and calmly stepped up & used the wrong pin, hit 4" high. The target was rocked and a dent nearly 1/4" deep resulted. My arrow literally exploded. The biggest piece was 4" long. Everyone else that missed the hole had their arrow bounce back and drive the point up into the shaft. BTW, the guy I shot with complained about pulling my arrows all day[:@], and I soap them before every shot.

Phil,
That is all too funny !!! I would love to have been there. I bet you turned some heads eh? I have been using the HOLE target block and the Pat DC pushes it backwards when the arrow hits. I have the block on it' s side so it doesnt get knocked over. I guess with bows this powerful, we could use blunts. (Only kiddin folks)

Frank,
Great Report. Straight and to the point. And everytime I see you and a few others post with all those great pics I say to myself " I gotta get a digital camera" . But then I think " that' s a couple hundred bucks I could spend on a bow...I' ll pass for now"
I think this bow is going to be hit or miss with most folks...either the valley and draw cycle won' t bother them in the least, or it will make them put the bow back on the shelf without a second thought, and pick up a PAT SC or ExVFT (or something else).

Jeff, I agree. People will either like the draw of the Pat DC or dislike it. The initial impression will most likely be the deciding factor. Having shot a P38 DC for a year I was " prepared" for the Pat DC. Though I think the draw of the Pat is stiffer lb for lb, and the valley narrower. Personally, I prefer the short valley and lower let off. But that' s just me.

Now you tell me Jeff [:' (] hahaha...Hey, you can get a digi cam like I have for less than $200, go for it pal. Great for taking pics of the family , kids, etc. and posting pics with your reports.
Tell him Frank, lol.
I really like the draw on the Pat DC contrary to what I thought it would be before I got the bow. The more I shot it the better it felt but the 65% let off is what I am not comfy with. I think if I didnt shoot other bows and own the Razortec and Ultratec, I would maybe have kept the Pat DC for not knowing better about the anchor. Even at 56#, very easy drawing but with my back, I can' t see me shooting this bow all day at a shoot. It might bend the titanium rods in my back. I would like to shoot the other Bowtechs but think I will quit while I am ahead.[8D]

Jerry.
Trust me you are not going to bend the Titanium rods with this bow at 65% let off.
I have shot mine every day since I have had it and would have well over 2000 shots through it now and the Titanium rods in my back are still straight

Just one question PA, I have been outa of the loop in the Bowhunting Forum for a while now And I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times already...In theBowtech dual Cam Bows, have they solved the problem of the cams coming out of time?
