Mission Bows

Just wondering if anyone has one of the new Mission bows or is considering getting one. What kind of review would you give the Mathews owned company and their products. I would possibly consider getting one for my next bow.

I don't know much about Mission, but I did shoot the new Mission Journey. It was a really nice bow, especially for the price. Fit and finish was really nice as well. If the ATA was a little longer, it might have been my next bow.

I recently shot the $450 retail X4 on two different days. It has a small riser, ~32 in. ATA, APG camo and some moderate machining. The dealer had the bow for $340, as I think he wanted to close out his Mission stock (last one). The bow is a quality item, with a good feeling, well-made Mathews wood grip. It was quiet shooting, but did not have the parallel limb design. Therefore, there was a small amount of hand shock. It had good arrow speed, and is rated at over 300fps IBO. I would give it an 8 out of 10 based on feel, quality, light weight design and value.

Trout, a friend of mine shot one this off season for a few leagues we were in....he pounded tacks with that Journey. For all arguments sake its a XT without the dampeners. Nice bow.

It's kind of the same deal as Hoyt and Reflex. They are made at the same place by the same folks. The Reflex bows have less bells and whistles than the equivelant Hoyt, and they have solid limbs instead of laminated ones. IBO is a little less. But they are fairly comparable bows at about 25% less money.
