Anyone have sharpening experiences with these broadheads? I've heard they're hard to sharpen...what's the best way to tell if it's sharp enough?

I use one that is lkethe Smiths Sharpener,BUT older,same princple tho...I have no problems...

Lay it on a flat stone and push it.I really don't know where the rumor came from regarding montecs being hard to sharpen. They don't "feel" as sharp becasue of the angle at which the edge is formed. It's not like a thin razor blade.

Good video. I hold the Montec in a small machinist's vise and work the diamond stone across the edge - kind of opposite of what the video show - but same effect. I also have diamond stones of varying grit, and work my way from coarse to extra fine.
