ORIGINAL: JD IN ALBERTA

I bought a new bowtech General had it for about 3 weeks then i shot a DXT. I sold my bowtech to buyaDXT it isa much better bow.

jd9860...What did you find different between your General & the DXT to warrant the sale so quick? I'm planning on getting a General but cant find a DXT to try. I'd like to hear comments, thx!
my 2 cents ... I shot 'em all (Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, Diamond, PSE) with no preconceived notion of which one was better. I had $$ toblow and I was going to buy what I liked the best, regardless of brand or price. I loved the General, I mean it was unbelievable but I hated the draw cycle. I haven't heard many complain about it so I don't know if it was just this bow but the other guys in the shop felt like I did, that it just built up to a point and then broke over too suddenly, kind of hard to describe. It did have the speed module so I'm sure that was a factor butto me the fact that it was shock free was overridden by the rough draw. Like I said, the general is very sweet and is loved by many, especially around here, but I'm suprised the draw cycle issue hasn't been discussed more than it has.

My signature says what was best for me.

Hmmm I'm the opposite I shoot a mathews now a drenalin but am chomping at the bit to sell it and buy a general after shooting one. The general is the smoothest bow I have ever shot. I will give you the draw is a little rougher but definetly not terrible. I guess thats why they make diffrent brands.

Didn't want to hijack, but I've been shooting Bowtech Tech29 since it came out. Great shooting bow for small figure like me. Too bad Bowtech dropped the model and great to see someone picks it up again. I still enjoy shooting my tech29 for hunting.
