I had a WB when I did a lot of stalking. A few years ago, I switched to nothing but stand hunting. Tried a few drop-aways, found that the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone worked best for me. Love it to death.

I starte with a WB but I noticed that it kept warping my veins. I changed to a NAP Quicktune which I liked except it didn't fully contain the arrow so I recently switched to a Trophytaker Extreme FC which I reallly like.

That's a good point, normal veins will start to warp. To avoid that issue you'll want to switch to blazer veins...

From a pure hunting standpoint, I don't believe there is a better rest...

I got a Hostage rest for my Marquis and i like it, only thing is my blazers are rubbing on one side but i still need to tune my bow and i'll see if it will keep rubbing the side or not. I find it quieter than the WB. I personally prefer the Hostage over the WB.

The WB was starting to warp my blazers too, Not as bad as the 4" but still did a bit.

The Hostage rest has all the advantages without the disadvantage of the constant contact:D

Zero contact with arrow and rest after the release. With a tuned bow you get perfect arrow flight..Drop Away. IMO.

The scissor rest by NAP is the one I have had my eye on. To me it has the all the benefits of a WB and a DA. I have seen several guys shooting this rest at the pro shop (40 yard indoor range) and they have had not problems with it.
http://www.newarchery.com/#/product check it out. I know some do not like this company but I seem to like this product. This is pricy I think around 100-125.00

I like my Trophy taker DA but the arrow sometimes will fall out of the slot (not the rest) before I shoot and I don’t always notice. When this happens I have very erratic arrow flight and messed up fletching. So stalking deer wit it is a pain. Also when I let my drawn arrow down, it likes to fall away and I have to reposition. Not a big deal but if I had the money then I think I would buy this rest.

For those that don’t know, you arrow fits inside the clamps and when you shoot they fly open, but lets say your opportunity to shoot is no longer and you need to let you bow down. This will not fly open since there was not enough inertia to spring the rest.

They don’t seem to be to loud either. I may up grade in a year

If you want to stay economic and good performance go with the WB but they may have to be replaced. Great for stalking deer since you arrow will not fall out as easy.

If you want the highest possible speed and accuracy but risk mechanical break down go with a DA (some can add noise to your bow) not good for stalking deer.

If you want the best of both worlds try the scissor rest but it is pricy. IMO
