Man, good luck to you. That would be the coolest thing, a goat with a bow... wow.

Congratulations on the new bow. It is fast becoming hard to pick any of my other bows up to shoot.

Thank you to everyone who has commented on the General. I have been shooting a PSE Whitetail Extreme for about 5 years. It was a package deal I got for about 250. It was what I could afford at the time. I am now ready to purchase a new bow. I can now afford to buy what I want, not what I can afford. I am looking for a bow that I will be happy with for many years. It sounds like the General would be a good choice. Now, I have only been hunting a few years. The PSE was my first bow. Should I start with something in between and work up to this level of bow, or would it be smart to go ahead and get the General now and be happy for years to come?

If finances aren't an issue then you cannot really ever go wrong buying high-end gear. The General delivers in just about every category in my opinion. You will notbe disappointed if you buy it.

If you guys don't mind me asking, what does the bare bow cost? Not looking for exact figures, just ballpark. Thanks.

I went and shot it last night and it runs around 825 out the door bare bow. I will have to admit that I was skeptical when I read all of this stuff about how smooth and quiet it is. I am not one to jump on a band wagon, but I will have to admit that I have not ever shot a bow that has that little hand shock. If you shoot one, I promise it will amaze you. I know all of you guardian and commander owners say there is no way. Just go shoot one. I own a Redhead XP32 so this bow is absolutely amazing. The only thing that I didn't like about it, is the fact that it is slow in comparison. It is noticably slower than even mine. But if I had 800 to shell out, I would have bought it last night. There is that much difference.

Oh I went to sportsmans warehouse in OKC. They only have one in stock. I don't know what prices are anywhere else.

You should be able to find one for $750 or so. If memory serves me correct MSR is $799
