I got Tru Glow sights on my bow, ten minutes before sundown here came a nice doe. I turned on the light and it
helped me see my pins to get right on target. I dropped her where she stood,I think they are useful at times, that just my opinion.

Does that also include fiber sights with glow in the dark lining?
I'm pretty sure its includes anything that is battery/electrical assisted ...
That would mean lighted nocks too....

They are a very nice option. Remembr though, for any big game, P&Y does NOT allow entry into their Records IF a lighted sight was used or even attached to your bow rig.... this may be a consideration for many to NOT use one. I have NO need for one with the incredibly bright pins on my Spot-Hogg but consider a light a MUST HAVE in a blackened Double Bull blind. Good luck and good shootin'
Poe and Young illegal!!!!!!!!! Does anybody care? Really? They are a private club so who are they to dictate to the masses.

If you dont care then why post here? Obviously this post is intended for folks that might care. I for one am not a trophy hunter and have no care really for P&Y but I was curious.

I just got one for my Hogg-it. Planning on a trip to Texas after the first of the year for hogs. Don't dare even mount it on the sight here, though. I got checked twice this year by the Colorado DOW. They check your license; and then look at your bow fora sight lightand your broadheads to make sure they have 7/8" cut. Would be nice to use in the Dbl Bull here, though.

I have lighted sights and i have found that every time i turned it on i couldn't see my deer[:'(]. So what i do now is try to get as dim as i can just enough so i can see my pin in low light. Thinking of getting sights with wraps of fiber optic instead of just having it on the pin and getting rid of the light.

Because the original question, and keeping on topic, had no reference to Pope and Young. It was just a simple question about sight lights. As for Pope & Young rules? I for one am a trophy hunter and could still care less about them. I decide what is my trophy. I hunt within the game laws of the state I'm hunting in and that should be good enough to determine what is a trophy.

Somewhere about an hour west of Austin. A buddy of mine bid on thishunt via E-Bay. Two hogs each, plus an unlimited number of varmints - over a3 day/2 nightperiod - $250 for two hunters. I got on their website recently, though; and it looks like they are going to ding us for all sorts of little fees that will add up to about $400 apiece. Never been to Texas before - except for a couple of connecting flights through Dallas.
