use the tote it is cheap.....if you go the other way...use the activated carbon at a fish store...dont put any pine needles or dirt in the container...you will be contaminating your clothes with it...it will obsorbe all the odors of the needles and dirtand your suit will be fully saturated and defeat the purpuse. i got the tote it works great and the big carbon filter can be reactivated unlike the fish carbon... you can but it is hard to keep the fish carbon from spilling all over

I never thought that putting pine needles in the tote would "contaminate" the clothes...I have been storing my clothes in a rubbermade tote with pine needles from the trees next to my stand. I have been putting my clothes in the dryer for 15 minutes before I wear them out though....anyway, Thanks for the tip!!
I saw a comercial for spacebags on tv last night....has anyone tried this route? The bags have to be air tight and with the deal they have running right now, you could get like 10 bags for $20 dollars.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Why bother with storage bags at all? I don't even launder my suit after hunting season. I wait till right before next season and launder it. Between the washer and the very hot dryer it's ready to go. I keep it in a plastic bag during the season in the back of my truck, but it still goes in the dryer for a good "recharge" about once a week.

I do keep mine in a little tighter enviroment and individually pack each garment in a properly sized z bag and then put it in a trash bag. Nothing gets handled unless I'm using it that way. Started the individual thing this year and it has worked out very well. When I dirty some, it and the bag goes in a trash bag. Wash/dry and put the stuff right back in their own bag and then back into it's larger, like clothing, bag.
I can paw through and set down any I don't want picking what I do. Nothing touches anything that could contaminate it.
I also put mine in the dryer on high and remove them while the dryer is running puttin them in the bag hot.

I have been using zip and pack storage bags from the sportsmans guide for a couple of years and they seem to work quite well. here is a link http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=210617

I'm using one of those now Big Foot Camo bags. It's great! I washed the inside and I spray it with scent killer all the time and let it air dry. Does anyone think that this would maybe not be the best idea? I don't think the bag smells like plastic at all and if it did, do you think it would contaminate and spook deer?
