Switched from FUll Metal Jackets to Maxima hunters and don't see myself going back. Graet arrows, super tough, very straight, weight forward for good FOC, nothing bad to say about them.

I would say try some easton ACCs but then you'll never want to shoot anything else. And at $155 a dozen you need to have a lot of shot discipline when that fox pops out at 50 yds. Lets just say I dont take too many of those shots anymore.

I did the opposite. When I first got my GT500, I also got a dozen Maxima's. I ended up switching to FMJ's to have a heavier arrow. With my setup the Maxima's were coming in just over 350 grains, and were being shot well over 300fps. If I was into 3-d or long range shooting (60+ yards) I would love em. I'm a hunter and wanted to have more KE downrange, it still spits out the 460 grain FMJ's at 300+fps...

Other than being lighter than my taste for hunting, they are some great arrows... If I ever got into shooting 3-D on a more serious basis, I would definently go back to the CX Maxima's... If you are looking for a well made carbon arrow the Maxima line is hard to beat!
