RE: Slick Tricks?

I have 20-30-40-50 yard pins on my sight. The Slick Tricks fly with my field tips all the way out to 50. If I have field tips and mechanicals flying well but BHs are all over the place I would start looking for tuning issues, but thats just me.

If you get any negative responses, I will be surprised. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they won't accept credit cards when you try to buy on their website.

The product is FANTASTIC and does exactly what they say it does - THEY FLY LIKE FIELD POINTS.

That makes 3 of us. Slick Tricks are the best flying, toughest Broadhead I have used in 40 years of Bowhunting. ;)

On our Website we will soon be accepting credit cards. We currently accept PayPal and money orders and I believe I have as good a price as you will find. Free shipping is nice also!:D

That makes 4 of us. Sounds like poor tuning.

RE: Slick Tricks?

Yep. Something must be out of tune somewhere that shows up when I shoot the Slick Trick mags. Or maybe the wind was swirling and is catching the blade and causing my arrows to plane out. There was a point late last year where all of the stars were alligned and the Slick Tricks were flying better than they are today. Real close to field points when shooting with no wind and really concentrating on form. Same arrows, same vanes....Something must have changed over time and now they don't fly consistently.

No matter the cause I am much less confident with the Slick Tricks now than I am with the Jak Hammers and that is all that really counts. The Sonics fly real well too but I am looking for a bigger hole and a bit more durability. I went through a broadhead target last year trying to get the Slick Tricks flying straight and I have no time for that this year especiallywhen I can easily find a solutionby simply spinning on a different head.

Slick Tricks are not magic. They are a good fixed blade head with a loyal group of followers.

RE: Slick Tricks?

Slick Tricks work well for me, as any quality BH would if fired from a well tuned bow. I shoot the regular 100 gr. head and have had no complaints, and considermyself a loyal ST user.

Bottom line shoot what you have confidence in.....A bow is like a shotgun each has it's own distict pattern, and different ammo performs better or worse than others. I'vetraded a few broadheads with guys, shotfive or six different heads looking for the one best suited to my rig. For me ST was the winner. My hunting partner did the same thing and Montec seemed to work better for him. Give a few a try and decide for yourself what is best vs. driving yourself nuts on these forums.
