I have the Browning F.D.T. 3-blade knife. It is incredibly sharp and has a reg. blade, a zip hook and skinning blade, and a very handy saw blade. It is an all around great knife and stays razor sharp so if you get one be careful i have cut myself several times. it is a very high quality knife for around 75 bux!

My Buck 101 folder has held up to all its tests. I also carry a Gerber serrated knife.

I use a Gerber personally, but some of my companions swear by Marbles knives.

I have had a Buck Vanguard for many years and have found it to be an excellent knife. It is durable and holds an edge extremely well. One thing to consider when choosing between a fixed blade and a folding knife is that the fixed blades are very easy to clean,as there are no places for blood and tissue to get into. Just my 2 cents.

pastorkris, a good all round knife for hunting is a SOGseal pup. Knives of Alaska, Hunter Series are also great knives.
Less expensive, I would also recommend the Outdoor Edge, Gerber, would definitely include Buck Alpha series.

I highly recomend Kershaw knives. I have been using them for about 8 years now. I have got some for my dad and brother in laws and they love em. Kershaw has a lifetime warranty on the blades, you just need to send the knife in to them and they will replace it. They have pretty quick turn around time also. Here is a link to an excellent hunting set up they sell.

Just my opinion.

Chris Reeve "Aviator", I gutted 6 caribou and skinned 4 of em last year and it will still shave the hair on my arm. Plus you can store fire starter in the handle.

My Kershaw has "China" stamped on it. Seems to be good quality but if I would have known that when I bought it I would have bought a Buck!

I use a Buck Alpha w/ a guthook and I love it. It's field-dressed 3 deer with no sharpening in between and it's still razor sharp.
