Just not much of a reason to shoot aything but vanes these days. I just can't find much of a reason why folks would even shoot fulllength vanes and not the Blazers or Predator vanes???

I've shot them all over the years---decades. There's nothing to debate. Each has it's virtues and drawbacks.

Pick one and tune your equipment accordingly.

I believe that it is personal preferance, they both will shoot accurately when they are fletched right and bow is in tune.

One thing that hasn't changed. Feathers get wet, feathers loose accuracy.

I started out with 5" full helical feathers over 33 years ago and am still using them. To me,there's no such thing as too much accuracy. They are more forgiving, and you can get waterproofing for them. If the weather is so bad that my feathers get wet then-I ain't got any business being out there myself. In side by side testing with mathews bow,my feathers were more accurate with fixed blade broadheads than vanes. I'm kinda old fashoned but if something has worked for me so well for so long I don't see why I should change. I know for a fact that just because they have vastly improved vanes out now, that it don't mean that my feathers are less accurate all of a sudden. I havn't went to a 3d shoot for 20 something years and now just practice usually by myself or with a buddy or 2 and I realize that I'm not near good enough of a shooter to compete, but as long as I can put ALL of my arrows in the bottom end of a pop can at 30 yards, that's good enough for me AND the game animals I've shot.
