Glad to see it worked out for you. AfterI read your second post about it not working I started scratching my head and thinking what the heck is going on here. We've all made a mistake like that before. WhenI was about 18 I tried doing the exact same thing and forced the screws into position.Metal shavings everywhere and the hole was ruined[:@]

I installed the LD fitz Fibers on my ME and man is that sucker bright now without the light. The light is now useless with the longer brighter fibers. For $20 you can't go wrong with the Fitz Ultimate 5 pack.

Yeah I have learned from that mistake before, not on a bow sight mind you but, it was a real pain in the a$$ to fix. Well, on my next bow I was thinkiing of upgrading to the LE so I could have that extra pin for practicing at longer ranges, and I was just gonna buy the light as an add on. I was super shocked when I turned the light on, on my ME, it almost blinded me!!:D I have never seen or heard of the Fits Fiberz before here. You say $20.00 for the Fitz and the light is also about $20.00. Which would you chooseif you were in my position?

Although you already made up your mind, I thought I would reinforce it by saying that I just got my Optix ME (I am left handed so I had to wait a year) and it is awesome. They really took their time in designing these things and it shows. Good luck this year!!

You do not need that 5th pin with the ME model.You can move the bottom pin down for multiple settings using the knob on the side. This means you never need more than the 4 pins and actually have about 8 pins in 1.

For my bow each full turn isabout 4-5yds of distance. At a 3D shoot Monday we shot at 1 target at 60 yds. My bottom pin is sighted in at 50 yds. So, I went2 clicks down and was on the money.

Therefore,save your money on the LE and buy the Fitz Fibers. I need to take some pictures of my Fitz set-up outside and I'll post them.

The only issue I have with mine isI overcranked the adjustment screw while the pin was locked down and stripped the adjustment a little bit and the screw will not "tighten" into place and vibrates a little. not a big deal though. A little blue loktite did the trick.

I'd recommend that anyone that buys this sight go to their local hardware store and buy the smallest lock washers they have and put them on the hold down screws for the pins. The screws tend to work loose and if you are heavy handed like me you will break a screw off. I had to replace one and when I did i added the lockwashers and have not had a single problem since.

I shoot the Extreme RT 900 and love it, so I can imagine that you'll be fine with the 1000. Can't speak for or against the others though.

Huntingfool, I am left handed also but did not have to wait that long, maybe 6 months?
Dave, if I was to put locktight on now could I avoid the lockwashers? It is just that I havelocktight on hand and don't really want to make a unneeded trip to get lockwashers when locktight would do. Thanks.

The lockwashers are for the lock down screws on each pin. I used the loktite on the adjustment screws. However, the locktight doesn't seem to last too long since it never makes it to the threads.

If you can tighten the screws down enough that they don't work loose without breaking them don't worry about the lock washers. If the screws start to work loose consider the washers.

Here's a picture of sight. The black arrow is the screws that I add the lock washers too. The green is where I put the locktight that doesn't seem to hold anyway.
