What bow for 31" drawlength
#1
I need some help on a bowwith a 31" DL(RH). I actually have a 32" but good luck with that. I currently have a PSE Baby G and I can shoot it pretty good but thought it was time for a change. I've been looking threw catalogs and went to a couple of shops and just can't find anything with faster speedsthen the Baby G currently shoots.
It seems like all the new bows are mostly 30" or less DL. Id be fine looking on Ebay if I need something a year or two old. Ive been bow hunting for 20+ years, I just havent kept up on all the new bells and whistles.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I use a release, string loop, whisker B, no peep and 1 pin if any of that is needed. thx

Bowtechs come in 31" DL. If you want an indication of the true speed look at my sig for the '07 Allegiance with smooth cam mods. You can get the spped mods and add 6-10 fps.
The High Country Iron Mace is anotehr choice/ Not sure about the 31" DL though.

Which ones? I went to a Gander Mountain and they had about 5 models all were only up to 30". Im not real good with all the new names for the models.
Im shooting in the 290's now with my hunting set up.

I shoot fingers style with a 32 1/2" draw. My choice is the Hoyt, Protec. Axle to axle is 47 1/8" with no pintch with a split finger tab. A fellow shooter that helped my get started shooting fingers many years ago, stated that for a comfortable fit for finger style, add 12" to your draw length to find the correct axle to axle length. It has worked for me...

I have a 31.5" draw length andended up with a Ross 337. I find the Ross very accurate, quiet and a pleasure to shoot. I get 275 FPS with a 426 gram arrow. The new PSE X force 7 comes in a 31' draw length if you are looking for speed.

If you are in the 290s now, I don't think you are going to find much more speed with a standard weight arrow.
I am 6'3" and tried to shoot one of those "baby G's" it did not work for me.
From the options I see offered here, I think I would try the Ross.
The Ross bows are simply a pleasure to shoot.
If you can stay within 15fps or so and pick up the A2A, and get that smooooooooth Ross cam.
Might be worth the change.
